Crawling and Indexing are two very important terms in world of SEO. Using this terms google index your site on search engine. These terms are done one after another, first of Google Bot crawl the webpages and index it in search engine. Let's see how this term are works.

Crawling : 

Crawling means Google Spider scan your site and collect necessary information. By using robots.txt we can prevent crawler from crawl into some specific directory.

Google use "Google Bot" as a web crawler to crawl your site.This bot or spider come to site and see webpages and follow links on that pages and crawl the web pages. It collect data from link to link and send it to the google servers.

If you create a sitemap for your site then submit it to the google by putting it in robots.txt, it will help bot to easily crawl webpages and collect link information.

Indexing : 

IWhen crawling is done, google start indexing.Indexing means not ranking but Indexing means index crawled webpage into search engine.Indexing and Ranking are two differnt factors. Ranking means first result in search engine related user search query.

Using meta tags of pages google index pages in search engine. Google index or display web pages with snippet in search engine. If you add a meta tag for each post and your all your pages are well formed then you will see result into search engine.
